Welcome to Forsbach Productions

We're passionate about music

Forsbach Productions is a Dallas-based production duo with years of experience producing, mixing, writing, and performing music. We’ve been industry professionals since 2005, working with bands, singers, and instrumentalists, as well as producing our own music for radio, television, film, video games, and the internet. We’re passionate about what we do, and we enjoy being able to do what we love full-time. Many in the audio field don’t have the musical performance experience we do, and this has proven to be a true advantage when creating emotional and inspiring music. For one thing, it’s much easier to communicate ideas when people share the same musical vocabulary. Approaching projects from an artistic standpoint, instead of a technical one helps the entire creation process. The end result is more musically satisfying and uplifting. It’s this combination of artistry, musicality and technical skill that helps create lasting, meaningful work, and that’s what we’re all about.

Over the years we’ve worked in a variety of settings with many different people in the industry. Our productions cover a wide range of genres and musical styles—feel free to visit the listen page to get an idea. We have a large list of top-tier session musicians in the area who can add flavor to any recording project. We’ve also done countless hours of keyboard and drum programming, which is how much of today’s music on the radio and television is produced. During pre-production we can decide which options work best for you.

It takes a lot of inspiration and smart decisions along the path of the creation process to produce something that will truly stand out and move people. Behind every great recording, there’s always someone with great skill and vision to guide it. Whether you want to record your own music with us, or have a film or commercial project that calls for custom music, we have the tools and experience to produce the perfect music for your project.

Nathan Forsbach
Nathan Forsbach

Nathan has worked as an engineer and producer for over 15 years. He received a music degree for The University of North Texas where he studied jazz. During his time at UNT Nathan began recording and mixing his and friends projects. This led to a life long obsession with sonics and making records. Over the years Nathan’s production experience includes recording live concerts, studio engineering, broadcast mixing, and post-production for video games and DVD’s. No matter what the project, his approach to the recording process is from the stand point of a musician. When either engineering or producing his projects can be characterized as musical and emotional.

Some artists I've worked with:
• Snarky Puppy
• Magda Giannikos
• Eva Celia

Ross is a pianist, vocalist, writer, and producer who has been working professionally in the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene since 2005. He comes from a musical family and grew up studying both classical and jazz piano, as well as percussion and drum set. He began his career in music after graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in jazz piano performance, and drums as a secondary instrument. Since then he’s worked as a full-time musician in Dallas/Fort Worth. When he’s not writing and producing at Forsbach productions, he can be seen fronting his wedding band High Definition, performing solo at various Dallas restaurants, and playing keyboards for Jackopierce.

Some artists I've worked with:
• Jackopierce
• The Brehms
• Bryan Meggison

Recording/Mixing

We've got the experience and the professional tools to not only capture your music, but capture your sound. Most projects can be cut from start to finish at our recording studio. For larger productions we can work out of facilities designed to accommodate big ensembles.

Producing

Good recordings go beyond just technical skills. Any studio can press the record button, but to us, connecting with the listener on an emotional level is what music is about. We can help with arranging, finding musicians, getting the perfect performance, and fine tuning your unique sound.

Custom Music

Finding the right song to fit your production's mood is key to it's success. Music for film and television should support the images, not overtake them. We've written and placed music for video games, movie trailers, and television that enhance the viewer's experience.

Testimonials

Bryan Meggison
Bryan Meggison

I've been recording in studios and working with engineers for about 15 years now. I've met a lot of incredible engineers/producers and had a lot of great experiences over the years, but working with Nathan and Ross of Forsbach Productions has been the best experience I've had. They are both very knowledgeable about the mechanics and physics of sound production, but they still think musically like an artist does. They are very good at figuring out the vision you see in your head and making it an audible reality. In addition to their expertise, they are just all-around cool guys to work with. They were very generous to my band and always helpful, patient, hilarious while we were tracking in the studio.

I’ve had a fanastic time working my project in this environment! There is always a wonderful energy working with these guys; simultaneously relaxed and vibrant! Attention to detail, creative input, and keen musical intuition from this crew have really helped bring my songs to life. I’ve been recording and producing myself for years so it’s a pretty different experience to be working with a production team like this but Nathan and Ross have been very accommodating, and I have been particularly impressed with the high level of expertise from this team!

Both Nathan and Ross care very deeply about nurturing the greatest performances they can out of every artist and are fearless and tenacious in achieving that end result. They know how to listen and sculpt a sonic picture to match and exceed your wildest expectations. Their ability to hear an idea and take it from rough sketch to a finished "radio ready" product means that they have the coveted "producers" ears and know how to achieve any vision set in front of them. One more thing, Nathan is fast, lighting fast when it comes to understand complex audio gear and all of the in and outs of the recording process. He comps on the fly and can simultaneously listen and help coax a performance out of an artist and sculpt those performances in real time before the artist has a chance to second guess themselves.
